NOV 28

Today is Thanksgiving.

I have a lot to be thankful for. Jaidyn + Kaleb are visiting, our family is healthy. 25 things that make me happy.

Jenn, all of my children, Moose, My car, Spotify Podcasts, Work Friends, Listings, Real estate conversations, Yummy Food, ***, ***, ***, Church Calling, nice weather, walking the dog, pickle ball, sleeping/napping, sunrises, sunsets, flying the drone, getting paid for real estate photography, getting paid in cash, training Moose, ministering interviews, serving other people.

I think a good tradition would be to make a list at the end of each day of 25 things from that day that made me happy. I’m going to start doing that.

Yesterday was pretty low key. I went into the Boise office to print the tip-ins for the gift I want to give to my clients and friends. I took Moose with me. That was fun.

I took my dad on a walk with me and Moose. We dont do that much. I enjoyed it. after dinner Jenn and I went to Walmart and picked up a couple things; and when we got home Jaidyn and Kaleb were here.

we enjoyed the rest of the night hanging out with them. It was nice.

We don’t have very much planned for today. It should be pretty easy going.

Come Follow Me

These last chapters in the book of Ether are like a blue print for how a society will destroy itself. I feel like it goes beyond a religious significance. They destroyed themselves because all saught for power and none were willing to repent, or admit that they may be wrong. A person doesn’t need to believe in God to recognize that society will not stand on an attitude of every man for himself. That’s not completely accurate though, because it wasn’t every man for himself. There were people willing to follow one side or another. I’m sure they had convinced themselves that their view of the world was correct. People want to be lead by someone. There are more people in the world that want and are suited to be led than want to lead. People want to gather with like minded people, and they want to align themselves with a leader who appears to share their vision and seems to have the knowledge, ability, and talent to pull it off.

So where did the people of the Jaredites go wrong in that. I guess it does come down to a religious thing after all. Their vision of the world did not involve God, only themselves, and they were unwilling to see or entertain a different way of looking at the world.
