Dec 23 Monday
Today I wait with anticipation.
There are two big things happening today that I am excited about. The first is that Caleb arrives tonight at the airport. *** is coming with him. The second is that *** and ***s house becomes officially their’s.
Caleb and *** will be here for a week. I wonder if they will get kind of bored because they don’t have there own transportation. I may feel like being available to drive them around.
Tonight we will pick them up at the airport around 5pm, and show them around the town. *** has never been to Boise before.
Today I’ll take Jenn to work, go into the office for a little while, and then come back home to do a Cirrus Drive video or two. I may work on putting up the ceiling fan in the living room upstairs.
Yesterday was a full day. Church was good. It was the Christmas program. Something out of the ordinary happened when Brother *** passed out in his Pew. There was a little bit of commotion.
After church I delivered several of the ornaments and books, and then made some cookies for Cathy’s get together.
Then I took a nap.
while I was doing that Jenn drove *** and her mother to Payette to see her sister who is in a nursing home.
After Jenn got back we went to ***’s and ended up staying nearly 3 hours. It was a good visit that I think Jenn especially benefitted from.
After that we went to visit the *** family at St. Al’s. *** Jr. is in the hospital since Friday after somehow running his car off the road and getting ejected. Sounds like it was pretty bad. From there we went to see the ***’s. What we thought would be a quick visit ended up lasting 2 hours. They are some of the easiest people in the world to talk to. It was a very enjoyable visit.
Come Follow Me
Prophecies of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. The first one that the manual points to is part of the vision that Nephi has. In his vision he is asked a question by the angel. “Knowest thou the condescension of God.”
This is a question that could be pondered for quite a while.
The word condecsending is most often used in a negative sense, because it’s use necessitates that one party is above another. People are naturally offended at the assumption that someone is above them, especially if the one doing the assuming is assuming about themselves.
When God is concerned, it may not be such an issue. Although often people are just as offended by God, just not for as clear a reason.
