I feel a great motivation to work lately, mostly to get myself in a good place for starting the new year. Things are coming together in a very interesting way. I feel like there is a flow.

Yesterday felt like a fun work day. I did my first real estate short video. I did other stuff too, and it felt productive.

We had our company party last night. It was fun, but too loud for me. I can’t hear anyone, and it makes it too difficult to talk to other people.

Today I’m going to try harder to follow my tasks that are on the calendar, and push through many of my to do list items.

Come Follow Me

Moroni is wandering, moving from place to place, writing these last few bits before he is finished. I would have felt like I just wanted to be done. I think I would have envied those that had already died. I would not have made a good Moroni. So many emotions would be experienced in a situation like that. His resilience must have been off the charts. Resilience is a word that keeps coming back to mind often. I’m pondering my own resilience. It doesn’t seem to extend beyond a day. I will have great motivation at the beginning of the week, but it wanes quickly. Recommiting daily becomes more difficult as each day goes by.

I suppose the message of the sacrament prayer is to address that very thing. My residence will come from the spirit of God, and the spirit of God will come from the things mentioned in the sacrament prayer.

Willing to take the son’s name upon us, always remember Him, and keep His commandments and then DO always remember Him.

I have always felt like there is subtle word play in the sacrament prayers that are very important. In the blessing of the bread we signify that we are willing. I think the willing refers to all of the actions that follow it. By taking the bread we signify we are willing. By taking the water we signify we DO always remember Him. It’s a more exacting standard on one of the three things mentioned in the prayer on the bread.

My thinking will change if I decide to consider remembering Jesus the greatest success.

After being clear on what a person’s job description is, be clear on how they should perform those tasks, or the behavior expected of people as they perform their duties. He uses the paradigm of ‘core values’ to frame this. An organization should develop a short list of ‘core values’ that they have, and then clearly communicate those.
