Today we’re having a 5th Sunday combined adult meeting at church, which is out of the ordinary routine. I’m conducting the meeting, so I have a litte extra pressure, but its’ nothing that causes me any sort of anxiety. What I hope for most is that someone will walk away feeling uplifted, inspired, and empowered.

Empowerment is a concept I want to spend more time with in my mind. There are not many things better than the feeling of being able to do something difficult. The more profound the struggle the more profound the reward.

For me, the best reward is often the simplest. It’s the feeling inside myself that I came out on the other side of something with a certain amount of success.

The baby chick struggles to break out of it’s shell not only to come out into this awesome great big world, but so it’s prepared to live in this awesome great big world.
