The day doesn’t mean as much to me as it did when I had a 9-5 job, but it still feels like a respite from the week. For some reason it always feels a little exciting to wake up. It probably goes back to watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid.
My plans for today are pretty loose.
Jenn has a women’s conference at church this morning.
I may do a little yard work.
I would also like to get the raft out and fit the motor mount we just purchased. It’s going to be a little funny having what amounts to a small river raft out on the lake with a motor, but it will be fun.
Gratitudes
I’m thankful for the nostalgia of Saturday mornings. It’s fun to wake up on the weekend feeling a little more excited and child like for the day.
I’m grateful for the refinement I felt to do on my website. I learned a little bit, and I think it will be more readable and more effective from an SEO perspective.
I’m grateful that the inspection on the *** house was completed. (video idea)
Real Estate
The inspection came back on the *** house. Mold was found in the attic space. It’s not too surprising. It’s probably been more than fifty years since anyone has even been up there, and ventilation was not something people were thinking about alot.
In my early days of working at Group One Sotheby’s I heard agents talking about mold and it seemed like it was a death knell for the sale of a home.
It doesn’t take very long working in the industry to realize it’s just a bump in the road that needs a solution, like every other problem.
I think part of the fun in real estate is the drama of the problem. For someone like me, who invites very little drama into my life, it provides some low key excitement that I wouldn’t get otherwise.
